Before her original appearance, Amber was designed with a very different design than she has now. Her design before the original Papa Louie had a green shirt, medium skin, brown shoes, orange pants, and her hair in a ponytail. This design was scrapped for unknown reasons.

Quinn's Q&A with Dawniee!
Quinn: How did you get the name that is now Amber?
Dawniee: I got Amber's name from the TV Show, iCarly. The episode was iCarly Saves TV. The TV producers replaced Sam with a stubborn girl named 'Amber Tate'. I loved the name, and it stuck to me for the rest of my life. It wasn't until 4 years later when Amber was created.
Quinn: Where did Amber get her design?
Dawniee: Amber was first intended to be a princess. She was originally going to be only pink (which is reminiscent of her Donuteria concept). I bought the blue jacket for another character of mine, which was later scrapped. I decided to put it on Amber, and I fell in love.

Amber and Jason first met in high school. Amber went to the Sakura Bay High Petals vs the Tastyville Central High Pepperonis basketball game to support a friend who was on the home team. Jason, at the time, was still new to basketball, and after being on the court for only the first point, he was benched. He sat down next to Amber, and the two struck up a conversation. The two teenagers instantly became friends, and talked through the entire game. As the game ended, they exchanged numbers to talk later. The two would call every day. They just loved each other's company so much. They would hang out almost every week to go to the Whiskview Mall, get pizza, or go on a picnic; whatever it was, they were having fun. One night, alone at the beach, Jason asked Amber to be his girlfriend. Shocked, Amber said yes, blushing wildly. The two shared their first kiss on that starlit night. They were practically inseparable, and they did absolutely everything together. For years, these lovebirds went steady. Years passed, and they hadn't had a date for just themselves in a while, both finishing their final year in college. They planned for a romantic date on the beach, just like their first date. After finishing their meal, Amber stood up, waiting for Jason to do the same, and go on a walk. Instead, he was on one knee with a ring in his hand.
"Amber, these past years of my life... our life, have been the best I've ever experienced. You make me feel like the best man I can be, and I want to feel that way, forever. Amber, will you marry me?" Wind flowed through Amber's curly hair. Waves crashed on the shore, and her heart pounded heavily.
Shocked, just the same way she was all those years ago "Jason... yes, yes, of course!" The two shared a kiss, and Jason slipped the engagement ring onto Amber's finger. The two got married shortly afterwards, had two children, and live peacefully in their home in Sakura Bay.

Amber and Angie met during the time they both worked at Papa's Wingeria. Angie, being just a few years older than Amber, was seen as an older sister figure to her, and the two grew very close, becoming best friends. The inseparable duo went everywhere together. At Amber's wedding with Jason, Angie was her Maid of Honor, as was Amber at Angie's wedding with Fernando. Sadly, the two had a falling out that lasted for a couple years, and both missed each other dearly but didn't know the other felt the same. Gladly, they have recently reconnected and have been better friends ever since.

After meeting and becoming close with Angie, Amber was quickly introduced to Angie's long time friend, Brenda. Amber and Brenda immediately hit it off, as they shared a lot of interests like music, and cleaning the Earth. They spend a lot of time together along with Jason and Angie.

Amber has an extremely close relationship with her mother, Fevi. After her father left them shortly after Amber was born, Amber and Auburn spent a lot of time with just their mom, spending extremely emotional moments with her. When Fevi eventually met Dawniee, and Tennyr's father, Amber knew something was fishy and that he wasn't treating her mom with the respect she deserved. Amber was constantly ridiculed by this man for thinking this way, but she was proven right when he disappeared one day without a trace. Fevi, deeply saddened, confided in Amber, and the two's bond has grown closer ever since.
